4th loft lounge

All the pleasure of the loft spirit at the fourth loft lounge

The atmosphere could not have been more « loft », late in the afternoon on Thursday 18 juin, for loft.lu’s fourth « loft lounge », held this time at Unikat Interiors, in Luxembourg-Ville. An ideal setting, since Unikat Interiors is a name well known to enthusiasts: this company designs and produces furniture, bathrooms and kitchens exclusively in a contemporary style and made to measure. Each creation, which uses surprising and unusual materials, is therefore entirely unique.

It was therefore for the pleasure of conviviality and informal exchanges that professionals and enthusiasts of lofts, architect-designed houses and other unconventional homes gathered in good spirits to give free rein to their passion.

And this time, around five very committed architects whose « loft » reputation is well established: Claudine Arend, Eve-Lynn Beckius, Claudine Kaell, Christine Muller, and the Belgian Marc Bouillot, who came specially for the occasion.

As the party was in full swing, Claudine Arend, Eve-Lynn Beckius, Claudine Kaell, and Christine Muller unveiled a surprise that was original to say the least: the « Cookinette ». Or the kitchen that fits the loft spirit by being nothing less than a travelling kitchen they designed.
This kitchen fits into a modestly sized trunk which nevertheless contains everything needed – utensils of every kind, cutlery, cups, plates, a stove, a waterproof canvas sink, and we are leaving out plenty – to cook up all kinds of culinary delights. The architects naturally put it into action, letting everyone savour a dish prepared in front of them, amid bursts of laughter.

The many guests also naturally gathered around a buffet as original as it was delicious, accompanied by carefully chosen wines.

This fourth loft lounge was also an opportunity for Fernand Hornung, the founder of loft.lu, to point out that, while loft.lu is indeed an Internet portal for property listings, this site is not at all like the others in the property sector, since it is entirely dedicated to lofts, the loft spirit, architect-designed houses (contemporary or period), and unconventional houses. loft.lu is thus a site of passion and pleasure. With its many sections (loftnews, loftsearch, loftstytle, lofttalks, etc), loft.lu is much more than a listings site. It is also a virtual showcase  - which regular visitors visit frequently to discover new information - for appealing ideas and projects and completed works that are out of the ordinary. By being highly targeted both in terms of listings and those looking for a property, loft.lu is thus the ideal Internet portal for bringing supply and demand together. The site therefore does not intend to impress with this or that number of visitors and listings, but with their quality. All of this, at every moment, in a spirit of conviviality that brings together a genuine community: loft.lu already has more than 2.250 subscribers to its newsletter!
